Pokok puding belacan thrives with splash of RES (RinsonEpsomsalt)

Gulai ayam Pucuk Puding Belacan
Normally young shoots of pokok puding belacan best eaten in rendang. But I have just enough time for a quick fix meal so express gulai ayam would do for today's lunch . I first saw this pucuk puding belacan in makcik manggis kitchen .  my neighbour moved out and leave many pots of plants behind, outside the rented property,waiting for the cleaner to throw into the huge piles of trash.Her trash is my precious  long awaited pokok puding belacan.

humble pucuk puding belacan certainly jazzed up   my plain gulai ayam with such an exotic flavour. To my surprise, the young shoots remain intact after 30 minutes being cooked in the gulai on medium/slow flame.The taste is thick steamed spinach with quite close to steamed malabar spinach .
